Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) Program

What Is the SSW Program?

🌏 The Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) Program began in 2019 as a powerful solution to Japan’s growing labor shortage. With fewer young workers in many industries, Japan needed talented, hardworking people from around the world.

💼 At the same time, the program creates a big opportunity for skilled foreign professionals—like you! Whether you're experienced in caregiving, construction, farming, hospitality, or high-tech industries, SSW offers a real chance to live and work in Japan, build a stable career, and gain global experience.

🎯 This program not only helps Japanese companies fill essential jobs but also supports your growth through fair employment, cultural exchange, and new career paths in one of the world’s most advanced economies.
