The one-month pre-departure training program for the 4th batch of trainees has been successfully completed.
These trainees are scheduled to travel to Japan in February and September 2026, marking the beginning of an important new phase in their professional and personal journeys.
This intensive program was designed to prepare trainees not just for work in Japan, but for life in Japan.
1. Preparing for Life and Work in Japan
During the training period, participants gained essential skills and knowledge required to adapt smoothly to Japanese society and workplaces. The curriculum focused on three core pillars:
Practical Japanese language skills
Japanese workplace manners and safety
Cultural understanding and career planning
Each session was structured to reduce real-world friction after arrival in Japan.
2. Practical Japanese Language Training Based on Real Experience
The Japanese language classes were conducted by Mr. Gokul, a member of Technosmile India’s 1st batch, who previously completed his technical internship in Japan and has since returned to India.
This mattered.
Instead of textbook Japanese, trainees learned how Japanese is actually used at work. Mr. Gokul emphasized:
Common workplace expressions
Situational conversations
Mistakes to avoid in real environments
He also shared personal experiences from Japan, helping trainees visualize daily life, workplace expectations, and cultural nuances. This practical perspective significantly increased trainee confidence.
3. Japanese Workplace Manners and Safety Education
Japanese workplace manners and conduct sessions were led by Mr. Kajiwara.
These sessions covered:
Professional behavior in Japanese companies
Safety awareness at work
Communication etiquette with seniors and colleagues
Her guidance ensured that trainees understand not only what to do, but why it matters in Japanese work culture. This foundation is critical for working safely, confidently, and respectfully in Japan.
4. Special Japanese Language Class by President Kikuchi
A highlight of the program was a special lecture by President Kikuchi.
He introduced Japanese language learning through the origins of kanji characters and words, transforming a complex subject into an engaging and enjoyable experience. The class was filled with laughter, curiosity, and active participation.
For many trainees, this session became one of the most memorable moments of the training.
5. Career Planning Session for Long-Term Growth
A career development session was conducted by Ms. Kurahara, focusing on future career paths after completing the technical internship program.
Through group discussions, trainees explored:
What it takes to continue working in Japan
Skills required for long-term career growth
Personal goal setting
This session helped trainees clarify their ambitions and increased motivation by connecting today’s efforts with tomorrow’s opportunities.
5. Japanese Culture Presentation by Trainees
- Japanese food
- Scenic locations
- Traditional festivals
Trainees conducted in-depth research, created illustrated materials, and delivered their presentations in Japanese. Most impressively, many presented confidently without relying on notes, demonstrating strong language retention and self-belief.
Looking Ahead: A New Chapter Begins
We sincerely hope that their experiences in Japan lead to meaningful personal growth, professional success, and a bright future ahead.
